Members of the Deaf Church in La Ceiba were the first to receive their DVDs.
Until now the deaf in the rural villages had to wait a whole month before receiving the Word of God in their (sign) language. They waited anxiously for the next time that Signs of Love visited their village, gathered the deaf together and taught the Bible stories.
Although some do not have access to DVD players, the majority in this village did!
There were no times along with the Word at their finger tips soaking in every word as they turned the pages of the living Book. There were no weekly bible studies where they gather together to learn together. No index searches for what God had to say about a particular subject they were struggling with. That isn’t to say that God wasn’t speaking to the deaf here in Honduras, He absolutely was through the whispers of the Holy Spirit in their hearts. I oftentimes think we forget how luck we are to be able to read the Word on our own!
Now many of the deaf can walk to the locally owned mini-mart or their aunts house and pop in the DVD and see God’s Word come to life in LESHO (Honduran Signs Language) as studied and told by a Deaf Honduran woman.
Thank you for those of you that financially supported this project and prayed for us throughout the filming!
Please pray that the Word of God would take root deep in the hearts and minds of the Deaf of Honduras because we know that His Word does not return void!

What a great resource for little Carmen and her family to have as she grows!
Can you believe it is already October!? We just wanted to send you a note thanking you for your partnership during the month of September. Check on the video below to see a few ways your support made a difference in the lives of the deaf in Honduras!
Top left: The older girls have been going to the deaf classroom in the local school to share the what they have been learning about being Power Princesses.
Top middle: Letting go of our burdens is something Jesus calls us to do. The girls tied their burdens to balloons and sent them to heaven as a representation of the opportunity we have in Jesus to do just that in prayer daily!
Top right: Robin and I had the opportunity to baptize one of the girls that has been part of our bible study for awhile. Looking forward to seeing her grow as she obeys Jesus with all her life!
Middle: We hiked through the jungle and learned many lessons about the path of life that God has each of us on the way.
Bottom left: Oftentimes birthdays aren’t celebrated here because of lack of money or the families don’t value their deaf children. We love getting to celebrate with the deaf and making them special!
Bottom right: A lesson on Acts 1:8 at deaf church to demonstrate how quickly the gospel can spread if we are just faithful to sharing it with the people God puts in our lives!
