We’re at it again!!!

…trying to get the Word of God into the hands of as many Deaf people as possible!

Screen Shot 2016-02-27 at 6.53.25 PM.pngSome of you may remember we did this back in 2013 and we raised enough money for the Deaf churches in La Ceiba & Zamora, the “leader” in each village, as well as 2 entire villages received Illustrated Spanish Bibles!! We have grown in the number of people we serve as well as many of the deaf in the 6 other villages we work in are growing in maturity and we would like to bless them with a Bible that they can understand and learn from in the years to come. For many, this is one of the only, if not the only, book they have in their homes.

For those of you that we met during our time in the States that were asking for a specific project to help with, this is your chance!!

We receive a significant discount from the publisher because we are a 501(c)3 and we buy them wholesale so it costs just $12.50 (with shipping) to give 1 Bible to 1 deaf person in Honduras. That’s 2 Bibles for just $25!

Our goal is 24 Bibles!

There are 2 ways to give:

  1. Our personal Paypal (you will NOT receive tax-deduction credit)
  2. Our mission agency (you will receive tax-donation credit)

Thank you in advance for your help in getting the Word of God into the hands of our precious deaf!!

Lost & Found

“L” (left) knows what it’s like to be LOST and then FOUND. She knows what it’s like to not have a way to communicate, no community that is deaf like her and to have never heard the hope of Jesus, LOST!

Because of Signs of Love that has been in her life the last 3 years, she also knows the joy of learning a signed language, being able to converse with friends like her and to clearly understand how much Jesus loves her, FOUND! So it’s not so strange that she would take such joy in bringing another deaf person into “FOUNDness.”

“L” gracefully walked from her house to get into our van as usual and then nearly exploded in clear sign language, “There’s a new deaf girl that lives right around the corner now!” “Show us where,” we replied!
Off we went to sweet 15-year-old “D’s” house (picture on the right), no sign language, no friends, no understanding of a relentless Saviors pursuit of her heart….until today, when she was FOUND!

Time in the States

I love that our God is a constant, unchanging God!! But I love how He reveals His characteristic to us more prominently in different parts of life. (Or maybe it’s just that we are less blind to His characteristics, the scales removed:)) These past 7 weeks have been a grander revelation of Jehovah Jireh, “the God who provides”. God has used countless people to provide for us emotionally, physically and spiritually “far more than we could ask or imagine!” Thank you to everyone for the love, support and encouragement that you so generously lavished on us and for being a part of God’s extravagant provision for us! May we all understand more deeply God’s true character in 2016 and beyond! (Shout out to the many others not pictured!!)

Has it really…??

…been 5 years since we packed up and left everything we knew to move to Honduras?!

God’s faithfulness has shone through every step of the way!

Thanks to everyone that has supported us! Excited to see what the next 5 years may hold!
